Civil Investigations

All types of Investigation should include background checks on the parties, the players, the bad actors or entities in the litigation. I can't tell you how many times I have asked an attorney if a background check was performed in a given case and all I hear is a pause. In fact many attorneys depend on their paralegals for their investigative needs. This is a huge mistake. But you don't know what you don't know. In other words ignorance is bliss. The rock needs to be turned over. For the little cost of what an experienced Investigator charges versus what attorneys charge, this should be a no brainer. Often patterns need to be proved to enhance a case for punitive damages or fraud.
